Kelly Johnson


Kelly Johnston has a large amount of experience in both the public accounting and private industry accounting fields. Her background includes a Bachelor in Finance and a Master of Science in Accounting, with experience in the healthcare industry with critical access hospitals and physician offices, audit, and tax preparation. Her education and experience can add value to new start-up organizations, developing businesses, and healthcare entities by creating a strong financial reporting set up and assisting in new financial reports.

Bonnie Moring

Accounting Manager

Bonnie comes with experience in bookkeeping and accounting from the financial industry. She has helped prepare and reconcile financials and set up new processes, which will be useful for any new clients that would like to work on their books. Bonnie is a certified coach and loves helping people create a financial strategy that will help them towards their goals. Outside of work, Bonnie likes to dance, teach barre fitness, do yoga, and travel the world.

Kristine Jones

Fiscal Analyst

Kristine comes with over 20 years of experience in bookkeeping and accounting. In these years, she has assisted companies in numerous fields that would range from having one employee to over 200 employees. She also brings experience in policy writing, human resources, payroll, accounts payable and receivable, inventory, as well as office management. Outside of work, Kristine is married to an amazing man, has a step-daughter, a son and daughter-in-law and an amazing grandson.  She has 2 pooches and enjoys taking walks with them.

Michelle Edman

Senior Accountant

Michelle comes to JFS with over 20 years of experience and a passion for creating financials that are easy to understand. She has a Bachelor’s in Finance and has experience in operations, manufacturing, and real estate. She has been an amazing resource to every team she has been with. She moved from California to Grand Junction, Colorado with her husband and children in 2005. In her spare time, she enjoys cooking and spending time outdoors.

Adam McGowen

Tax Manager

Adam has been in public accounting for 10 years with local and large regional firms. He specializes in tax but enjoys helping clients understand financials and how to use them to grow their business. He joined JFS after spending a couple of years doing private accounting in the banking industry. Adam moved to Grand Junction in 2012 for the outdoor recreation opportunities in the area. Most days he can be found at the trails on his mountain bike.

Zoe Shanahan

Marketing & Executive Assistant

Zoe is a graduate from Colorado Mesa University, in Grand Junction. With a background in film/animation, she brings a unique twist to the JFS voice. She spends much of her time at work translating “accountant”. Outside of work, Zoe enjoys baking and crocheting as well as everything else the Western Colorado has to offer.
